Keyword-level reference pages for every new and changed system in Slay the Spire 2.
- Mechanics WikiAfflictionsAfflictions are enemy-applied penalties that attack your deck instead of your HP bar. They come in two forms: status cards injected into your draw pile, and debuffs that strip Strength, Dexterity, or prevent actions.
- Mechanics WikiAlternate ActsAlternate Acts are Slay the Spire 2's route-level branching system. Each act has two biome variants with distinct enemies, events, elites, and bosses. Act 1 is Overgrowth or Underdocks; Acts 2 and 3 have their own confirmed splits.
- Mechanics WikiDoomDoom is Necrobinder's signature kill threshold. When a target ends its turn with Doom stacks at or above current HP, it dies outright — ignoring Block, Metallicize, and low-HP boss triggers.
- Mechanics WikiSlySly is Silent's defining keyword. A Sly card that you discard automatically plays for free, which turns discard into Silent's highest damage lever.
- Mechanics WikiStarsStars are Regent's persistent secondary resource. They do not reset at turn end and they have no cap, which enables Regent's infinite Stars/Energy conversion builds.
- Mechanics WikiForgeForge is Regent's delayed-payoff archetype. The first Forge each combat creates a Retain colorless attack called Sovereign Blade, and every later Forge stack increases that blade's damage.
